Mind Motivation - Life is Full, in fact…

Eileen Caddy in her book Footprints on the Path wrote “Life is full to overflowing with the new. But it is necessary to empty out the old to make room for the new to enter.” Hmmmm.. did she have clutter? This is the perfect statement for todays clutter producing world. You only need walk through the local mall and it’s bursting with new things to buy, but at some point we need to get rid of the old to fit in the new. Now whilst I’m sure Eileen was speaking more philosophically about emotions it really is a great quote for those with a cluttering tendency - which happens to be most of us! it’s almost impossible to avoid.
Now addressing the issue of making progress toward a clutter free and organised life the second quote for today is by Haridas Chaudhuri (you should listen to the podcast just to hear me try to pronounce that!) in Mastering the Problems of Living wrote “The greater the emphasis upon perfection the further it recedes.” Remember, those glossy magazines with the perfect snap shot of a perfectly neat and tidy organised home or office or whatever aren’t real per se. You don’t have to be neat to be organised. Provided you know where things are and have a system that works that’s all you need!
